Licence

This licence is between you (the Licensee) and Personifold (we). It covers the fictional presenter you bought (the Host) and every file in its download (the Pack). Your licence ID, tier and date are on your licence certificate and receipt.

1. The Standard licence

We grant you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, copy, edit and display the Pack in your own original content, including:

  • videos, courses, tutorials, product demos, presentations and live streams;
  • thumbnails, channel art, social posts, websites, landing pages and adverts;
  • photo-avatar and animation tools, to make the Host speak, move or change outfit and background.

There is no limit on the number of projects, views or impressions. Attribution is not required. Other people may hold a Standard licence for the same Host.

2. The Exclusive licence

An Exclusive licence gives you everything in the Standard licence, plus these promises from us:

  • no licence of any kind had been sold for the Host before yours;
  • we retire the Host from sale permanently and will never license it, or the files used to make it, to anyone else;
  • we will not use the Host in our own marketing after your purchase, except a watermarked thumbnail marked "Claimed" in our catalogue as a record of the sale, which we remove on request.

Exclusivity is a promise about our catalogue. It cannot stop an unrelated person generating a similar-looking face with other tools, and it is not a transfer of copyright.

3. What you may not do (both licences)

  • Resell, sublicense, share or redistribute the Pack or its files on their own, including as stock media, templates or asset collections.
  • Use the Pack to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI model, or include it in a dataset.
  • Use the Host for biometric identification, identity verification or to open accounts.
  • Present the Host as a real person, or as a real doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or other licensed professional giving advice.
  • Use the Host in fake reviews, fake testimonials or endorsements, impersonation, fraud or deception.
  • Use the Host in sexual content, content involving minors, harassment, hate, political disinformation, or anything unlawful.
  • Use the Host in breach of the use restrictions of the CreativeML OpenRAIL++-M licence, under which the model that made it is released. Those restrictions pass to you through this licence.

4. Disclosure

The Host is AI-generated. Where a platform, advertising standard or law requires it, you must disclose that your content uses an AI-generated person. This includes YouTube's and TikTok's synthetic-content labels and, from 2 August 2026, the transparency duties in Article 50 of the EU AI Act where they apply to you. Ready-to-use text is in every Pack and on our AI disclosure page.

5. Copyright

In several countries, purely AI-generated images are not protected by copyright. We do not promise that you acquire copyright in the Host. This licence is a contractual grant, and the Exclusive promises above are contractual promises from us.

6. Our assurance about likeness

Every Host is generated from scratch by our own engine from written parameters, with no photograph of a real person as input, and is reviewed before publication. If a credible claim arises that a Host resembles a real person, we may ask you to stop using it; if we do, we will refund what you paid for it in full.

7. Ending the licence

If you materially breach section 3 and do not fix it within 14 days of our notice, this licence ends and you must stop using the Pack in new content. Otherwise the licence lasts forever.

8. Everything else

Our terms and refund policy also apply. If anything here conflicts with the terms, this licence wins for questions about using the Host.
